Please note that due to the current health crisis we have a limited amount of tables in our restaurant and bar. In addition due to government restrictions on closing times in licensed premises all guests must have vacate the bar and restaurant by 10pm.


A £50 deposit is required per room per night. This will be charged to the card details provided when making the reservation on line.

East Haugh House operates a non smoking policy throughout the hotel, it is an offence to smoke in a public area. Guests found to be smoking inside the premises will have an automatic charge of £100 applied to their account.

Check-in and check-out times

Check-in is from 4pm-10pm, with our reservations manager here from 8.30am - 5.30pm.
Please note that our restaurant team are available to check-in from 5.30pm onwards, however there may be a slight delay due to dinner service.

Check-out is by 11am.

For your safety :
All our bedrooms are sanitized throughout and then locked until you arrive. We are adopting a " no room entry" policy for all guests staying longer than a single night to reduce the amount of people entering your room for your safety. Please do let us know if you require fresh towels, tea tray goodies or anything else and these can be brought to your door.

Cancellation policy

There is no charge for cancellation 7 days or more prior to your arrival.
Cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival we will provide a gift voucher that can be used towards future bookings.

Amendments to reservations will be subject to availability and may incur rate changes.

All sporting reservations are required to be paid in full at the time of booking on a non refundable basis.

Group booking policy

Any bookings of 3 rooms or more is considered a group booking.
We require a 50% deposit at the time of the booking, which is refundable up to 28 days prior to the arrival date.
In case of cancellations made 28 days or less prior to arrival, the deposit will be for-feited. The remaining balance needs to be paid at least 14 days prior to arrival.
In case of cancellations made 14 days or less prior to arrival, the full payment will be forfeited.
In case of cancellations of 1 or more, but not all rooms, we apply the same policy to the individual rooms being cancelled.

Children policy

If we are required to set up a sofa and / or a fold down or zipped bed, we charge for the additional guest according to their age. These rates apply to all rooms.

Children under 4 - £10 per night
Children 5-11 - £15 per night
Children 12-15 - £25 per night
Adults are charged £60 per night

We do not apply a £25 dinner allowance to children under the age of 16. Should you wish for this to be included in your room rate please contact us to advise.

Bringing Dogs

With the pet population in Great Britain growing by almost half a million year by year, we fully appreciate that people want to take their pets on holiday with them, which is why we welcome pets of all shapes and sizes here at East Haugh House Hotel.

We have 2 ground floor superior rooms and 1 ground floor cosy room which are rooms dedicated for people bringing their dogs. Pets are welcome in the Gate Lodge too. We do ask that you bring your doggie's bed with you and that you refrain from having your dog on the beds. Dogs should not left unattended in the bedrooms, as we have enclosed porches that are ideal for your dog when you are not around. We charge £15.00 per dog per night. A maximum of 2 dogs per room- please call reservations for more information.
Please note we do not allow dogs in our restaurant/bar area during service periods.

If there is any damage to the room or any additional cleaning is required after your stay we will notify you as charges will be applied.

Private Lodge booking policy

Any bookings of our private lodge will require a 50% deposit paid at the time of booking with full payment made 8 weeks prior to arrival. A £150 housekeeping deposit is also required 8 weeks prior to arrival. This will be returned on a satisfactory check of the premises after departure. Any bookings made within the 8 weeks will require full payment at the time of booking.

Although all rooms are serviced daily we do ask that when staying in our self catering lodge we request that you show respect for the next guest by ensuring the property and in particular the kitchen is left in a satisfactory condition. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

Fishing Terms and Conditions

All fishing is payable in full in advance and is non refundable.
In the unlikely event that the beat is "unfishable" due to water heights, you would be offered an alternative date where possible, unfortunately not a refund.

Stalking Terms and Conditions

All Stalking is payable in full in advance and is non refundable

In the unlikely event that the estate has to cancel the day due to weather conditions, you would be offered an alternative date where possible, unfortunately not a refund.

We do advise guests to take out their own insurance for this.
